Today we presented our poems, I thought that everyone did a decent job and I thought mine was a little bit over thr top for school but i don't think it matters because i didn't really see anyone paying attention. This assignment was pretty easy because I had already written tons of poetry in the past. The only issue i had was making the poem 40 lines long, as most of my poems are 6-12 lines.

 In class we started reading and analyzing a new poem called We Real Cool, and it references how teenagers feel about themselves doing not great stuff. The one thing that I believe was hard for me was figuring out what my generation believes is cool because all of.my friends aren't your stereotypical zoomer and we all have different opinions on what is cool or not.

 Today we read the long poem from Langston Hueges and we analyzed the poem to the point of understanding that America does not have opportunities for everyone in the country. Those affected are immigrants, people of color, women, other minorities etc.

 Today we took a quiz on argumentative texts and claims. Our class did better than another with a 90 percent average which is pretty good. I wasn't in class yesterday but I started the assignment and I'm almost finished with it. My only issue right now is remembering to do blog posts at the end of class, it's a very tedious thing to do but I know it doesn't take long.
