Reflection 8.24.23

-

 Today we had a longer class but it made it easier to get my Origin Myth done. I had not done something of a creative writing assignment or personal project in months and this really helped me use my imaginative mind. During the typing of my Creation myth I changed it maybe three times before I could actually decide on what I wanted to do. In the end it wasn't a hard assignment and it took shorter than I expected. My theme of my creation myth was that "nothing is perfect."

 In class we started reading and analyzing a new poem called We Real Cool, and it references how teenagers feel about themselves doing not great stuff. The one thing that I believe was hard for me was figuring out what my generation believes is cool because all of.my friends aren't your stereotypical zoomer and we all have different opinions on what is cool or not.

 Today we finished our groups poster for Nick Carraway. And we also turned in our Tuesday literature circle. I had illustrator and I decided to draw out the wreck at the end of chapter 3. It believe that it was a very descriptive scene.

 Today we read the long poem from Langston Hueges and we analyzed the poem to the point of understanding that America does not have opportunities for everyone in the country. Those affected are immigrants, people of color, women, other minorities etc.
